Sebastian Hübner studied at the Music Universities Stuttgart and Mannheim. His teachers were Georg Jelden, Alejandro Ramirez, Gerd Türk and Albrecht Ostertag.
In 1996 he started an international career especially with the interpretations of the great baroque oratorios.

Meanwhile he is equally much asked for baroque and contemporary music. Lately he sang the Evangelista part in Bachʻs Christmas Oratorio in Beijing and Palermo and was is invited to sing the same part in Hamburg, The Hague, Zurich and London.
Sebastian Hübner sang contemporary operas of Luigi Nono, Heiner Goebbels and Arnulf Herrmann at the Berliner Festspiele, Mannheim Nationaltheater, Oper Frankfurt and the Biennale Munich.

As a member of the ensemble Schola Heidelberg and as a soloist he sang many world first performances at renowned festvals such as Flandern Festival, Ultraschall Berlin, Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik and many others.

In 2015 the title of an Honorary Professor was conferred on him by the Heidelberg Hochschule für Kirchenmusik.
